After going through various gear displays in different cars we were tired of them failing (segments burned, blinking, wrong gear, etc...) so we have developed our own 7 segment display with a self-programable code which saves the values of the sensor for each gear. This means it can be used with any gearbox that has a gear sensor. Additionally we have spend some time analyzing various methods of filtering the signal to get better results and avoid typical blinking of the segments or wrong gears.
