I need to drill a couple of holes in my dash for my push button start, but im worried its going to chip the coating of the carbon fibre further than the button and look bad.

Any ideas on how to drill in carefully, what sort of bit etc???

cheers

Start small and work your way up till you have the sized hole you want, also use old blunt drill bits to avid it cracking or chipping.

I'd have used a drill about 2/3mm smaller than the hole then filed it further...

And yes, use masking tape over it also...

i put the drill in reverse first (if yor using a hole cutter), so it scores a circular hole first then drill the proper way (forward gear). that always works best for me :gimme:
