Up early Sunday morning and drove down the M74 /M6 to the.   lakelandmotormuseum.co.uk    at the bottom of Lake Windermere. Well worth a visit. lots to see. A brilliant clear drive down to about 20 miles from the place then the heavens opened .It was like that all day. Spied a nice Imp Californian in the car park just as I was leaving. Coming home today I cut across country on the A66 to Scotch Corner to visit friends. Diabolical, Heavy wet snow, low cloud, I've had better viz snorkeling. But we made it home. I think that's it for this year as far as longish runs are concerned, but you never know.

I keep trying to persuade the wife and kids to go whenever we stop up that way in the caravan, but they all say no....

I live local, and the museum and railway along with the lake steam cruises etc plus loads of other things in the are all operate a discount scheme if you have an LA or CA postcode.

Ive not been to the museum since it moved from Holker Hall to its new building but it was always a good day out when it was at holker.

If anyone finds themselves at a loose end in Eindhoven I can highly recommend the DAF museum.

Quirky , interesting,  and worth every euro .
