Hello

I'm rebuilding a A+ engine which I bought off ebay - so in other word I have no idea of the history!

So i've go to the clutch - and was going to change the clutch as a precaution - the clutch plate looks OK - but I am going to change it anyway...  but should I also change the pressure plate - which again looks OK - no scoring or makes on the plate (but do the springs wear out or something - why change the pressure plate??)

So do I need buy the kit - or just the clutch plate?

I will also change the release bearing, clip and the O ring seal.

I don't want the hassle of having the flywheel/clutch assembly balanced if I can help it.

So what would be the best thing to do please?

Thanks

if you change either part of the flywheel assy then yes it needs balancing. friction plate excluded.

Thats what I am trying to avoid - so do I actually need to change the pressure plate if it looks ok? Or should I change just the friction plate?

I've fitted numerous mini clutch kits, never balanced them!
