Hello,

Looking for help identifying what was standard spec for a 1985 City E, I have seen some with one centre clock and others with the 2 clocks in front of the driver. I am pretty sure it was brown cards and furniture as Targa Red, 4 spoke steering wheel or 2? Looking to go back in time and refit as original.

Looks like houndstooth seats, brown trim and two clock setup. Definitely ignore the wheels, uk cars didn't get those

My red 85 city e had cente speedo (single) and two spoke steering wheel. Hounds tooth seats. Non opening rear windows. No stereo. Only one door mirror.

And rust a plenty from 3 yrs old.

My first car. A pure mini. Loved it.

Early 85 has single dial and no side repeaters, later 85 has twin dials and side repeaters.

There are 3 standard specs for a 1985 City E!      (up to Sept '85, Sept-Nov '85, & Nov '85 on).

It all depends on when it was built.... when was yours registered?

My B reg city e is targa red, it has the brown trim, brown houndstooth seats and a single centre speedo. It has silver logos on the doors and a “e” on the boot. steering wheel is a 2 spoke with the Austin Rover badge. I think mine is a late 84 early 85.

My D reg 1986 City E has brown interior and 4 spoke steering wheel with the two dial cluster.
