I started taking my radiator out quite late tonight and it was dark and freezing cold maybe making it a bit easier for me to get annoyed and chuck it for the night.

Basically I have everything disconnected from the radiator and the fan off but I can't get the radiator out, thinking I need to take the alternator out id someone could tell me if that's right or not that would be useful. And if you do how exactly do you go about doing that with the belt and what not. Not sure if I'm maybe just being daft and there's an easy way to get it out that I just can't seem to find or if there's a specific way it comes out that involves more removing of parts.

Any help appreciated, Cheers Glen

Removal of radiator is on page 158

Hope that helps

You will need to remove the alternator. The belt can be removed easily by winding off the adjuster which looks like a threaded bar accessed from underneath under the alternator. You have to turn the adjuster clockwise to slacken it

Cheers

Well I got the radiator out, but, I also sheared the threads for the tensioner. I can't find the tension adjuster bolt or spindle as I've seen it called anywhere. What do i do now because I really need my car back???

This spindle caused me an absoulte nightmare. I ended up removeing the second bolt ont the panel  because i couldnt get the top bolt to shift. Ths allowed me to move the panel across so that I could reove the spindle assembly. The c-clip at the bottom was nowhere to be seen. I ended up having to heat up link for the adjuster to get it moving. It was going nowhere. Whilst i was there I ended up filing the head from the weird size 7/18's? to an 11mm size so that i could use standard tools. I also used copper grease on the thread to protect it after a deep clean

The assembly went back together really well.

Id love to know where i can get the c-clip becuase i cant seem to find it in mini spares?

Does anybody have a link to buy one?
