What's the best way to get the oil going around the engine after a rebuild ? MPI engine.
Thanks.

No, it's not a new engine but it has been sat for a few years. I haven't touched the oil pump.
I gave it a go last night but my battery only lasted about 10 seconds before the starter started to slow down..

Did the oil light go out?

The primary gear has been changed, the top hat bush was fubbered.
I split engine and box just to have a visual look at everything before putting it all back together.
No, the oil light didn't go out after 10 seconds of cranking, no sparkplugs in either.

It should go out after about 4-5 seconds in my experience. Have you got an oil pressure gauge at all?

No, just a light.
I've read on here that it can take up to a minute to get the pressure

Might get messy on an mpi... 😁Did you fill the oil filter with oil before fitting it?
