Hi all, has anyone had issues with tight ignition barrels ? I changed mine a few years ago because the key was really tight to remove, however the new one just the same, it seems the spring loaded ball in the barrel is really strong. I have broken the plastics on two keys now.

Has anyone come across this issue, is there a particular make/type people fit ?

Kind regards,

Ian

I recently purchased a new ignition barrel from MiniSpares it was almost impossible to put the key in and out due to the ball bearing!

Ended up finding a good used item and has been fine since

I found the same when I bought that type of ignition barrel from minimine. It was the type with the plastic surround and rubbish looking quality key, I got one from DSN with the full metal surround and is much better quality.
