I'm looking for a rack for my MKI and not finding much over here in the US but looking at a beetle rack from EMPI. the size looks right but maybe a bit tall? Anybody here fitted such a rack? how does it look?

As that fits into the gutters of a VW it is very unlikely the dimensions will be right. Have a look at my Face book page "Mister Bridgers Retro Roof Racks" or www.retroroofracks.com for some better ideas. I could replicate that style for a classic mini if you wish.

Small world, eh?! Due to size restrictions on international post that one has to be made in two halves for some simple home assembly, so price is £195.00, postage to USA is £105.00.
