With a single box on a 1275 it's a bit 'boy racer' and can be tiring on a journey.
The twin box with a cherry bomb is just right. It is what rally Minis use in order to meet the noise level limits.

So noise levels

Single box > Cherry bomb > Dual box

As its just a weekend toy does the single box matter? Or is it ridiculously antisocial (unbearably loud) in a 1293?
Its stripped out and racey so i dont mind adding to that vibe!!

Is the mounting kit ok??

Thanks for your help guys.

A single box is not necessarily ridiculously loud and to a lot of people it sounds good. I had one on mine but eventually got fed up with it on a long (ish) run and this didn't make up for the time when I was going slow enough with it with the window down to appreciate it. I ended up welding in a second box in the centre pipe and it's changed the driving experience to one that is now great on a run and it still sounds good when I max out the revs.

Expensive, yes.

Lasts for a very long time, yes
