Hi,
I am desperate to buy a mini but my husband says we can't have one as his golf clubs won't fit in the boot. Please tell me this isn't true?

Perhaps a Mk1 with the hinged number plate and a bungee?
As for where the mates sit - how about in their own car with the husband as a passenger? I've found it a handy way of getting out of driving if you fancy a few in the 19th...

Seriously though, the lack of bootspace can be a pain in the wotsit if you don't have a second car. Main reason that I plumped for a Clubman Estate to restore.

Oh just show him this as it puts things into perspective. So yes a roof-rack would be the answer or a roof-box if you want to go camping like me & my family too!
