Can anyone help with a starting issue with the Nodiz?

I fitted a Nodiz unit to a rebuilt engine and it just won't start. I get permanent Red LED on ignition and cranking, Flashing Blue and Green LED's on cranking but it won't fire. I'm getting fuel in the cylinders and a strong white spark from the plugs. The Trigger wheel is set to 90 degrees before TDC and with an old Dizzy inserted the Rotor arm points to 1 O'clock when number 1 cylinder is at TDC.

Is there anything else I can look at?

Have you got the timing 180 degrees out?

Hi, check on the mapping software to see that the crank sensor is reading something and also you have you uploaded a base map startup map?, you all so have to tell it what trigger wheel you have ( tooth count ) and then fine tune the timing for TDC if I remember correctly.
This maybe what you don’t want to hear but I had many problems with the nodiz on my mini, especially the blue tooth connectivity for mapping, the engine would also die sometimes times and would only go again once the power to the nodiz had been switched off and on again, in the end I scrapped the the nodiz unit and changed to an omex 200 series ECU which has been brilliant, the mapping software is far better and the technical support is very good

I use Nodiz Pro with my Mini, its been the most reliably system I have on the Mini, You say its a new build engine, I would do the basics first and check cylinder compression and valve / rocker setting first, have you got your plugs in the right order, i assume you are using the coil pack from a ford focus, look for missed events in the timing software, has been said before check you have the sensor set correctly.

Timing is OK, I checked and rechecked on that one, even inserting a dizzy to reconfirm.

I've got a 1380 base map on the Nodiz and all looks correct from that side. It did start and run for about 10 seconds so it can't be anything too big. I think it's an over fuelling issue, it has a Lucas electric fuel pump mounted on the rear subframe that appears to be pushing too much fuel through. I'm going to try and clamp the fuel hose and see what happens. I'm away for a couple of weeks but will make notes of all problems and hopefully it will help someone in the future.
