I've been running or trying to get along with my current ecu (megajolt) setup. On my 1380 build and to be quite honest I've had gutful with it. And after speaking with Bill Richards briefly he shares same views on it. He did briefly speak on going distributor again with I think the 123 electronic kit on minispares. Of which he can tune happily for me.
So anyway has anyone used that system or any other recommendations at all please?

Yes megajolt is great!
Most issues seem to be user related not the kit itself. It's highly recommended by most.
What issues are you having?

Another thumbs up for Megajolt. I know Bill knows his stuff, but a lot of these oldschool tuners are scared of laptops and "modern tech".
Dizzys are clockwork technology, granted it'll work ok with the correct advance curve. But to optimise it will take loads of rolling road time and someone who knows how to modify a dizzy correctly + even more time.
When you have Megajolt already I wouldn't even consider taking a step backwards.

I've never run a Megajolt, so I can't comment in that regards.
I'll add though that I did look long and hard at the 123 but the curves don't suit an A Series, so that always put me off, along with the odd ball caps & rotor buttons. Since that time I saw those, the CSI came along and it does have curves to suit our engines. I've been running 3 of these so far and very pleased with them. They also have a type that has an Immobiliser if that also appeals.
While I am happy with the CSI, I'm also looking at a Haltech for another application.
