Just a tip (and only for a minute)..
When fitting the screw in hose tails, wind on white plumbers tape before fitting.
I put 15 winds of tape, keep the first couple of threads clear and trim the excess tape off the 10mm spanner nut.
My pump was dry when fitted without tape, but over time, despite being fully tight, developed a capillary fuel leak on the inlet hose. The fuel tracks everywhere by capillary action, evaporates, cools and causes condensation, making it seem like the pump block is leaking a water/petrol mix

I gotta say, I've never had any success with PTFE Tape on Fuel or Oil, I gave up on trying that probably 30 years ago.
I think it works with Water as it has surface tension, however fuels and oil don't.
Loctite would be a better choice.
