Look what I found! The owner took it out of the car after delivery and stored it away nearly 20 years ago. 

 

I believe the R660 was the period correct model for my 96 Spi...but.....the Mini logo just looks way better! Very happy with it!

Nice find for an original car, hate aftermarket stereos they all look 'cheap' somehow.

I have a PHILIPS R660 but when I push the button power I need a code and I have no code!!

somebody can help me to find the code?

Brought an aftermarket well whizzo with all the extra bits mp3/5 dvd etc cheap as well looked great

wired it in lite up fine

a + wire just touched back of unit, tiniest of touches barely a spark 

 

FIZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZz

 

unit stuffed

 

took it apart

Well u could get the components in a match box

not a chance of repairing

 

moral of that story

don't bother with imported trash not worth the pennies paid
