looking to go from 13 wheels to 10S which means changing the brakes, at the moment I have a pretty much new set of 8.4 mini sport alloy callipers but wondering weather to go for kad 4 pots. Are they worth the extra money or no? Ive also got the mini sport alloy drive flanges which will have to change so same with them? Kad for new or mini sport?
Cheers, Rich

The 8.4's won't fit the 10" wheels nor will the ally drive flange for the 8.4's

Kad is always better than Msprt.

Are you going for 7.5" or 7.9"?
Can't comment on the minisport calipers as I've never seen them, but I've got a set of 7.9" vented KAD's and they're a thing of beauty. They're unlikely to work any better than the minisport versions as I think they both use metro turbo sized pistons. I'd like to think the KAD's use better quality materials as they're about twice the price of minisports, there's certainly more machining taken place.
The KAD's use mini drive flanges, not metro, so if your alloy flanges are mini ones you'll be able to use them. The discs need around 80thou machined from the inner face of the disc bell to make them fit using mini flanges, otherwise they'll foul the hub.
Not all 10" wheels will fit 7.9" disc setups. I'm running 5x10 GB's on mine, I want to swap to 6x10 s offset genuine minilites but can't find out for certain if they'll clear the calipers.

I know the 8.4 wont fit, Im getting at should I buy new mini sport at the correct size or kad. Im looking at getting specialist components 10x7 or 6 so Ill have to ask them about the 7.9s.
The alloy drive flanges that I have are metro so they definitely have to be changed. Also thinking of kad alloy.
Are all hubs the same? I presume mine will work? Standard from an 85 mini.
I would like to go for the kad over the mini sport parts but really need to be worth the money being much more
