Polar automotive aka classic plates online - I have recommended these people before on the forum, but I take it all back!!

Ordered new stick on number plates from them and they turned out to be a different font. Whilst I understand they can not 'restock' a made number plate. I thought the least they could have done is a part refund to cover their costs, but they were having none of it. Won't be using them again, shame really as I have used them a couple of times before.

A partial refund isn't going to sort the font though.

You should send them back if unhappy to use them.

Distance selling rules apply , as they aren't as advertised. Usually custom goods are excluded, but if they are clearly different to the proof, then you can send them back.

I used a website called www.makenumberplates.co.uk and they send a proof image which you have to confirm before they produce them (I wanted import plates but on one line) and they came out perfect

Plus if the plates they supply are advertised as being road legal then they're also not fit for purpose as it's not legal to change the font on your number plate in this country.

Stand your ground, demand a refund and threaten to contact trading standards if they don't sort it out.

Too many companies get away with behaving not only unprofessionally but also with complete contempt for the law.
