3m products seem to be a favourite with most,
after p6000 trizact machine polish with 3m fast cut plus green coloured top (with a bit of water) this step looks like you have already done
then use the 3m extra fine yellow colour top (from the flatting process you have used you should be seeing a glass like finish by this point)
then only on my own cars id use 3m ultrafina purple colour top for the last hardly noticeable swirls
I only use a soft mop heads, and new ones for each different compound. nice clean cloths because after the ultrafina you will see marks if the cloths are not clean when removing it
I haven't ever had a problem with using this method it works very well for me every damn day of the week
I don't like using wax if the paint job is pretty new say with a few weeks basically because after the process of polishing you won't need it, it will be like glass
and unless you painted it in a booth and baked it for the correct time the paint and lacquer is still drying even tho its cured and feels hard to touch so by putting the wax over the top your actually slowing the process so I try and avoid it. only on my own cars tho
