Hi everyone
Is it possible any body could tell me what needle and jet I should be using on my 998 cc with a hif 38
With engine number 99h f16 b 100886 any help would be appreciated

The jet is a standard size for the carb, it's only the needle you need to change to give the correct fuelling. AAC is the stock 998 needle iirc.

get it running I use a aaa then get it rolling roaded...aaa is about as rich as they come I think

Ben, if your engine is standard then use the factory recommended standard needle for your year and model.

 

As Turbo Phil says, the jet is a standard size, the needles are changed to meet the engine's fuelling requirements.

 

For the HIF38 the main jet is 90 thou size.

For a 998 with stage one kit(HS4 carb) I use AAU needle but would be a good start point with a HIF 38

Reply thanks every one the hif was second hand am rebuilding so will replace with aac ??
