Is it possible to fit the MPI heater valve and cable to a 1989 heater matrix/box?
Since fitting the supercharger I’m a little short for space under the bonnet! The valve is currently underneath the supercharger against the bulkhead. The heat from the exhaust has damaged the cable and I think the valve has already seen better days before being moved. So I was thinking of ditching the lot and moving the valve onto the heater box as per the MPI.

You can delete the valve by buying a new length of hose, but your heater will then be hot all the time

the same thing except for location.

the MPi does have slightly different routing but all you are really talking about is relocating your current valve along the same hose.

Pretty much yeah. I’ll have to stick my head under the dash and see where the space is. I wasn’t sure if the MPI heater box was different to make space for the valve.

That’s basically how it currently is. Every time I try and close the valve, the cable is too stiff and pops off the clip.
Spend half the weekend having to choose between boiling with the windows up or freezing and being deafened by the windows down, so I’d like a valve that works!

Hi,
Just buy the MPI valve and cable plus a bit of heater hose if you need it?
Cheers :)
