hi all well i have just got my mini and now lets get down n dirty i would like 2 make a an enclosure in my boot to add some style and well some place to put subs any ideas and pics if poss.

i and thinking of 2 10'' Audiobahn AW101T subs running on a Alpine MRPM350 amp each this means the subs are 900watts and the amps are 700watts max the pre out put from my head unit is 6v will this sound good

you wont really have enough room for a proper sized enclosure and it to look good. jus spend the money on a better sub and amp (a single 12 maybe) and some better compos in the front

ok well thanks for saying the boot is to small what about on the back seats they are out for a role cage i could mold 1 around that any pics anybody?

Yea, if you whip out the back seats, pop in a jolly roll-cage, and cut through the back of the rear seat, into the boot, you could mount your subs like that.

Want this carpeted board? Takes two 12s. Looks pukka with the parcel shelf too. Only want a tenner for it.
No cutting required.

You can hide all wiring and amps under it. Sounds awesome with "free air" subs. Kickers sell em, plus JBL, Kenwood and probably more.

I wouldn't cut holes in rear bench tho banxi unless you are putting a full cage in. That rear bench is a structural part of the car.

if ur taking the rear seat out go for something mad like 2 10's with a 15 in the middle. that way you will get very fast punchy bass and will also be able to drop very low

bankxi, check out this boot enclosure - it was in a shorty Mini at the Southern Mini Days - subs WILL fit in a boot!

Get some cardboard to use as templates.
Cut cardboard to shape of parcel shelf. Then repeat with a large piece to make the sub rack. It will sit quite happily wedged in on that rear bench.

Then transfer your cardboard templates to 12 0r 15mm MDF (can't remember which).
You will need to cut out holes in the metal of your parcel shelf to get the 6x9s in.
All wirng and amps will sit out of view under sub rack. Easy peasy.
