Looking at some of the Fiesta caliper conversions on here, some use Mk1 calipers and some use the mk2 ones. I’ve got a choice of which to use so was wondering which would be the easiest or give the most power. I have found that the Mk1 calipers are Bendix yet the mk2's are ATE so should have though there was a difference between them.

Any help appreciated.

braking wise i dont think there is that much difference. obviously a slightly different design.

both work!! i think the pads are the same size and the piston will probably the same sort of size

The pics in my thread are Mk1 and the pics in Pickup76's thread are Mk2

I figured the car will look more origional, the wheels are cheaper, the tyres are cheaper(which means I can afford better tyres)

I think im going to go for Mk2 calipers as is EBC green stuff pads available for them but not the Mk1 ones.

Let's lift up this old topic a bit.

I'm reconditioning mk2 fiesta brakes too and was wondering what brake pads should I use. Standard pads cost about 10€ but Ebc greenstuff pads are almost 80€ in here !! Does anyone know some other place where prices would be cheaper?? Thanks.

I think bog standard pads are good enough to be honest.

and for the cost whack em in and if they aren't good enough upgrade them. only takes a few minutes
