Just got a used megajolt unit but wanted to test it to see if it works eg connect it to the laptop.

Is it possible to do this without connecting everything up to the car or can I just connect it to my laptop?

Does the megajolt unit need powered from 12v to connect to the laptop?

Thanks

Never tried that, I would expect it will need 12v to do much of anything

The Megajolt unit, coil pack and edis units all need 12v

Hi,

You'll need to power it up, get it talking to the laptop and then use the test utility which plays a sound through the speaker socket which you connect the MJ crank sensor wires to.

Cheers  :proud:
