HI

I have a 2000 X  reg 1275 VMAx Scart Supercharged cooper , would the valve clearances be the same as standard ?  The car is fine above 2000 rpm but very hesitant below this rev range which makes it challenging to drive in town ,I initally thought it could be running slightly lean but it has a closed loop lambda sensor so in theory it should be adjusting the mixture to suit. I have looked for a vacum leak but cannot see anything obvious , I will change sparkplugs and check valve clearances but I dont thisnk this is the issue, any ideas out there in the Mini loving fraternity?

Closed loop lambda sensor? If you're running a boosted engine with standalone engine management, I'd be running a wideband as a minimum. Who mapped it?
