Hey all,

So I want to swap out my current dashboard (see fotos below) to a classic 3-gauge style setup with an extra Tachometer and a Smiths car clock. In total the new setup will comprise of: Clock, Tachometer, Temperature, Speedo and Oil pressure.

The 3 clock center console is arriving in the next few days and the rest wil have to be purchased.

Whilst Im at it I thought Id ask what cables, sensors etc I will need to make the install work, or if its just a "plug and play" situation - meaning the Smiths clocks use the same cables, sensors, etc.

The 3-clock Im getting has - according to the photos - most of its cables still connected, just cut short.

If anyone has done this and is willing to send me a list of parts I need/have a chat and help me out Id be very thankful.
My brain says link the blue cable to the blue cable, and the green to the green - thats about as far as I can think!

thanks a ton
Luis

p.s How to do I set the odometer to my current km standing? The Speedo I am getting has 49000km, whereas my mini is sitting at 69000. Is there a simple way to turn the numbers? Ive heard of people using drills to spin the odometer

you don't change the odometer you just make a not of the old and the new. (talk to you local test agency/register about what is needed in your area)

If you use a drill where the speedo cable fits and run it at a speed that makes the speedo read 100 km/hr for 200 hours non stop you will do 20,000 km and make up the difference.
