I’m looking for a mk3 currently (loads of “early 70’s” mk5’s on eBay) so I’m not learning much.
Any books out there that go into details on mk3s?
Despite the massive sales numbers in the 70s, it seems to be one of the least known or written about model now.
Any help would be appreciated.

Personally I've had four round tunnel m's with the following colour combinations:
72 harvest gold mini 1000 with olive interior,
71 bronze yellow 850 with navy interior,
71 teal blue clubman estate with lime flower interior,
69 blaze 1275gt with navy interior.

Can't be 100% but I think I have seen a factory black early mk1 mini 1000 with a red interior.
Yes I’ve seen that too. Black with a full tartan red interior - non brocade.

Mine is 'Flamenco' with a very dark blue interior.
Flamenco is often confused with Vermillion, they are very similar but Flamenco is a proper (earlier) Mk3 colour.
The navy interior looks black. A nice thing with the mk3s is that the door rubber backings also had different colours to match the interior. Now sadly NLA.
