Trying to fit my bonnet. I’ve got it all lined up and level along the back and sides but I can’t get it to stay shut. It will stay shut for while then pops up again or sometimes just won’t close at all.
Which way am I supposed to screw the bonnet pin? In or out? I have tried both ways to no avail.
The bonnet is the original one of the car so thought it should just go straight on.
I have moved the slider bit on the slam panel.

If it won't stay shut screw the pin out a turn or two

The lock may need some grease; if you have moved it, try moving it back.

Is it the finger through the grill release or the later internal cable pull?
