A genuine ex track hillclimb car it was offered as a rally shell all the lines run inside the car bias valve plumbed in fire extinguisher removeable front end (didot think that was allowed in rallying and due to the fire extinguisher being fitted in place of the passenger seat i doubt it was a rally shell also has a multipoint cage fitted any thoughts its an early clubman shell

Yes i guess so in solid condition what would something like this be worth it has lightened doors with door bars a full weld in cage with x beam between A and B pillars will need paint but no rot it has the extra lip on the roof guttering so i think ime right in thinking it is pre 1975 ?

Strip it back to bare metal repair/repaint and either convert to a road/rally car or a road/hill climb car i realise there will be compromises with having it dual purpose but ime ok with that forgot to say it also has plastic front and rear screens which ive never heard off

Hi Charlie, I’m 2010 someone said that I should try some rallycross as I was 12/13 years old, for the first event I hire a car and won the event. From then on I was tempted to do more so someone found me a car and that is the car you have. I had an agreement with the owner that I would have the car and look after it but pay £80per event hire fee. The car was originally built for the chaps daughter but after doing the first event she crashed it and never wanted to do anymore (hence the pink)! After collecting the car that had been stood for a couple of years we went to the first event at Mallory were the engine let go on the second lap after being quickest in the practise and leading the race. After that I came home from the event and rebuilt the engine myself. Once the car was rebuilt I won the following event, and the owner rang me to say that due to the way I was looking after the car I never had to pay him any money for using it. I then went on to win every event I entered in the car! At the end of that year the junior championship moved to Suzuki swift so that was then of the mini. I believe the person who had the car from was friends with the Gwynne’s.

Kind regards
Ollie
