Parcel Shelf Subwoofer

I have a Sony XPLOD amp under the rear parcel shelf and two 6X9s in a board mounted under the rear seat.
I need a bit more bass and someone suggested a small subwoofer that would fit perfectly in the rear parcel.
Any ideas on what size I need and speaker and or enclosure recommendations.

Hi,
I'd recommended an Alpine type R 8"
As for the box size it's not much bigger than the sub. The instructions have all the parameters you need to feed into a box design program you can download for free.

A 10" Sub will fit in the parcelshelf of a Mini, just need to use Dynamat or Brown Bread or similar to help sound deaden the panels and help to stop the panels from resonating. The fuel tank is the main culprit for resonating, and the O/S rear arch panel... and the front doors - and the roof panel LOL

Hi,
I've used that 8" in BMW 5 series, and it really kicks even in a large well soundproofed car like that. I'd say it was a lot better than the 12" pioneer I ran years ago.
I got the 4 ohm version, wired it to 2 ohms and powered it with the Alpine MRX M55.
That amp puts out 550w rms and 1100w peak into 2 ohms
Cheers
