These include - fixed rear windows, no heater, black crackle painted lower dash rail, vinyl covering on the door bins and small reflectors below the headlights to name a few.
Many thanks!

The small reflectors were required by local laws at the time. There should be red ones on the rear as well. They were made by a company called Stimsonite. More often than not, our cars weren't fitted with a heater - hotter cimate. I'm not too sure about the other items though. I hope that helps a bit.

Hi Lordcroker - I have a 1966 Mini Deluxe 998 which I intend to bring back to its original specification - although this will certainly be a challenge given the amount of locally sourced parts - particularly the interior.
That said, it's a great project to have as there's lots to find out along the way.
A while back I posted a bit of an intro to mine here, which may be of interest.
If you do buy the car I'd be very interested in seeing some pics. It's a bit earlier than mine so I imagine there'd be quite a few differences, but any info helps!
Ryno's book 'A South African Mini Story' is a useful source of information, as well as members like Jared!

Interesting info about the clipped chassis plate, I'll keep an eye out for that.
I understand that interiors were different to UK spec cars. The '62 has been retrimmed, so not sure whether it was done to the original design. It's two tone green and grey (it's a green car) but the style looks more like an early Morris Minor 1000 than Mini.
