Hi and apologies if this isn’t the right place to ask this but....

Recently bought a 96 cooper and loving it. When I’m in the car on my own the tyres clear the arches on turning just fine. When I have a passenger however the tyres catch the plastic wheel arch extensions on turning. The car has a set of jbw alloys on it which look great. Could it be that they are too wide or is it a suspension issue given the extra weight of a passenger?

Hi,

Could be either.

How old are the rubber cone springs?

Does it have Hi-Lo adjustable suspension?

What is the height between the lip on the will and the floor?

Cheers  :proud:

Thanks Guys - wheels aren't original and I think too wide - I might look at replacing them. Not sure if the cones have been replaced - I think I will get them sorted.
