You have two! Crikey! Not really seen much of the Midas but I've always wanted a Marcos GT :*
Do you build them yourself? Difficult? What sort of spec is yours?

I have three! the one at the back was my everyday car for about 13 years, been stood 7 years, almost a bare shell now, I hope to get it back on the road with vauxhall power.
The white one has an old morris 1300 engine, bought it off ebay last year.
My third one below is MED 1380 powered, it's based on a Metro, this photo is a photo of a photo taken about 4 years ago, in bits at the moment.

At the risk of sounding very McDonalds... I'm loving it! lol I'm sure its not to everyone's tastes (especially purists etc) but I think it's great, it must absolutely fly too!
Oh dear, now you've rekindled my desire for a sporty kit car! :'(

The mini ones are very quick, many years ago I used to run around all over the place with a mini club, mine was just a standard MG metro engine with a tall 2.95 diff and once rolling it would live with any mini up to about 70 mph and after that it'd leave them for dead, just like they'd hit a brick wall.
It'd pull 6000 revs in top easily, and that's 121 mph, it'd never do any less than 40 mpg, and was happy to cruise at 90 with barely a tickle on the throttle.
I remember once following a just featured mini to mini in the park, in mini mag the owner was saying how fast it was, supposed to have had 115 hp, and I just sat on his bumper without even trying, and he was trying very hard to leave me, good fun.
Another one, the one in the background on the photo above about 19 years ago at sandown park kit-car show.

Thanks for the welcome, I bought a mini marcos once, I think they look a bit more sporty than the Midas, I got a MK4 that was supposed to be 95% complete, everything was a mess, there weren't even any tapered washers on the drive-shaft nuts! I pulled it to bits and then never got around to finishing it, it's always easier taking something apart, much harder putting it back together again, I then sold the shell on.
In my opinion the MK3 is the one to go for, but the thing I dislike most about them is that there are pieces of steel in the shell that rust away, they have a mini front bulkhead cross-member glassed in at the front and when this rusts you have to grind away the glassfibre to get it out. The midas has no steel in the shell and is a much stronger and better built shell.
