Since I've owned my mini(1992 998) the air temperature control is missing, not even signs of the warm air duct on the manifold. I take it my car was made with these and these parts have been taken off?
If this is the case I would like to replace them. Do I need the newer warm air duct TAM2149 as I have the brake servo and 12G3210?
If needed does anyone have these parts spare rather than me forking out on new ones?
Thank you for any insights or help

It was probably removed to improve airflow. The bimetallic valve is a bit of an airflow disaster and a good number no longer worked properly, if they ever did. The metal "horn" that preceded it flowed better and was happy enough in the summer position all year round.

It probably helps cold running on very cold mornings until the engine gets up to temperature.  The one on my 1983 car still works but there's an issue that drives me mad- the foam on top of the flap has disintegrated and the thing rattles all the time!

Provided that bi-metallic flap, foam, and ducting are in reasonable condition the system is (moderately) effective. Pretty much any old foam does the trick (that rattle is annoying!), Ducting is cheap from most motorfactors or online, and the flap can be bent back to shape + tested with a heat gun or hairdryer.

I don't have this either, but is it worth replacing?

I've never once had a problem starting on cold mornings
