Can someone tell me the proper name for this please?

 

It goes from the gearbox to the subframe and was a pig to get off, even in 2 pieces.

I'm disappointed that in amongst all the sensible answers nobody yet has said "Broken"...

if you have a top steady you may not need the bottom one beware they can break the subframe
