Hi,

Thanks for all the help so far. Couple of questions from the weekend.

Shouldn't liquid flow through here?

Full of crystalized stuff.

Does it need drilling? Car has stood for 20 years+

I will close your other post without the picture. That looks like a bypass hose fitting.

Leave it blocked off could be better its not really needed

bypass hoses r a pain in the butt and not the easiest of things to change if it starts leaking

I would do the job properly. The by-pass hose is a short hose going from the underside of the the thermostat housing to the water pump and a real pain to get to with the head installed.

Get a plug to replace the by-pass tube in the head, http://www.minispare...|Back to search

and a water pump with the by-pass delete option and you will not have to worry about it again.

Thanks very much. I am trying to get an original water pump as the impeller is stiff on the one I took off. I'll get one with a by-pass delete.
