Headlight Ballast Resistor

Hi

Does anyone know anywhere that sells headlight ballast resistors please. Cant find them anywhere ?!

Your headlights won't have ballast resistors as standard.

Ballast resistor wire was fitted in place of the coil live wire to reduce operating voltage

why would you want to re fit it not needed not a legal requirement. if you really want one then put a wanted advert as there will be many out there that people have taken off.

If it has a dip dim relay they will.

Available on ebay if you do want to keep one fitted.

Yes just a normal resistor, not a resistive cable(like the pink/white wire for coil+ on some minis)

Guys. First of all electrics are not my forte.
I just took it off the car and its broken so i was thinking id have to put a new one back.

No idea what its for or what it does but i understand its something to do with headlights ??

Cant find one. Looked on ebay.

If i didnt fit it woukd lights work? Is there an alternative ?

The dim-dip system is something often removed/defeated/bypassed when it starts to give trouble.  There are threads on here with the details should you go that route.

As above, just delete the dim-dip relay system if it's starting to have problems.
