never had pot joints. though there is a conversion drive shaft available.

Hi, have just fitted my 1275 circa 73 to my mark 1 mini. I have the rod change gearbox and have pot joints and have also fitted a 7inch disc brake/hub assembly. I was trying to fit the drive shafts in as I was lowering motor in but wasn’t an easy thing to do single handed. So I removed driveshafts and now fitting back in with the motor in place. The drive shafts seem to be quite long. Have I got drive shafts from another type of drive line? Does anyone have some shafts that they could measure the lenght. Thanks in advance. Roy

i hope you mean 7.5" discs and not 7"

all Mini pot joint Drive shafts are the same length left and right.

metro ones are longer.

you will need to pop the upper ball joint at a minimum to fit them are do some real left to right shuffling.

sorry i have nothing to measure.

Sorry yes 7.5 inch disc brake setup, everything has been replaced at the front end and has yet to be tightened so easy for it to be disassembled, drive shafts slipped in etc. mainly concerned on whether I have purchased the right drive shafts,

For pot joints both are different lengths - LHS 38cm and RHS 45cm, and this on a South African mini clubman with drum brakes.
