Are cylinder liners standard on an Mpi. I don't think it was what I was expecting.

They aren't fitted to my MPi.

My engine, or the 2 spares I have, aren't sleeved.

Thanks guys. It certainly isn’t an early A+ as it’s from 1997. Engine number 12A2LK70. It may be a metro engine.

Is it still feasible to rebore +20. How much metal will this take away or would it need re-sleeveing.

I bought a leyland silver seal austin 1300gt engine in the mid 80's, it had liners.
Looks like they cane be bored +20thou ok.

It’s not at all uncommon for A-series blocks to have liners fitted from the factory. AC Dodd says they should be ok up to 0.020”.
