Ah I see so it'd have too run as a 2.7 if forced induction was used, originally I thought about charging it for more exciting trackday use but not if it causes issues in competition use
yes you would be in the over 2L class

depends.
remove the interior and you are out of the road class. and into mod prod. slicks and rollcages upto 1400cc specifics comes down to local regs and the MSA regs. oh gearbox and block need to stay or you are in sports Libre class.
sorry but if you are planning on building then really get to terms with the regs and keep asking about before doing something. and by asking i mean your local scrutineers. or you can pay someone to build and prep for you.
get to your local events this year and see what they are running in what class.

There's a motorsport club that meets at Lavendon just outside of Bedford. I've never been but looks like it might be a goodun. PM me if you want to go and want some company.

I've done a few of the Farnborough and District events. They are good value for money and a very friendly club.

It’s a 1.4 multiplyer not and additional 1400 capacity. so a 1.3 engine with either a turbo/supercharger would end up in the <2L class (~1.8L).

I did a few seasons of this and found there are ways to use the rules in your favour. Simply put you're either in an up to 1.4L class or an over 1.4L class. Blowing a 1275 places you in the over 1.4L class and therefore you'll be competing against cars with a lot more power... instead carful study of the rules can find ways to 'cheat clean'.
Look for ways to stay in the up to 1.4L class without leaving CC on the table. You can go for a 1380... but the 1410 is too far. Another option is to take a 1275 A+, add a 970 short stroke crank and build yourself a 1000cc low compression engine. Blown motors will thank you for a short stroke which will rev much higher. Then add the blower of your choice (turbo/supercharger). hey presto a 1.4 that uses every last cc in the up to 1.4 class.
