What’s the best insurance company for our minis? I was on modified insurance with Adrian Flux last year so im shopping about for cheaper quotes before renewal.

Cheers

I'd avoid flux unless they have accurate photos of your car.

I went with Lancaster, they were great with a limited mileage quote with all modifications and agreed valuation of the car, it came in just over £200.

I'm the opposite, avoid Lancaster . They were the cheapest I could find but when looking through my documents they got most of them wrong. Rang them up and got it changed but they still managed to get bits wrong and then tried to charge me more because they got it wrong. If they can't get that right then what would be like making a claim.

That's the thing isn't it - it's hard to know the true quality of an insurer until you have to make a claim. I'm fortunate enough never to have made a claim with Lancaster or anyone else for that matter. I can only judge by the accuracy of the paperwork and how easy they were to deal with (which was all ok). But it's interesting to hear your experience Alex. Who did you change over to?

I ended up going back with HIC, They were fine the first year, but like you say you don't know until you make a claim. You're bound to find people that have had good and bad experiences with all insurance companies though.

Another for Peter Taylor.  Great people, I've got all my cars insured with them.  No fuss, no issues, perfect.

I am with adrian Flux and have been for a few years, they have matched quotes I have received from other companies, and when I had to make a claim, I requested the work was carried out by Mill Road Garage, they agreed and dealt direct with Ben. I havent had any issues with the agreed value of the car.

Adrian Flux charged me £ 400 to insure my bmw e30 classic car insurance then when renewal came up put it up by £50. , i then went to Peter Taylor who quoted £104. A year All in...! , agreed value etc ,I have been with them ever since and insured my Mini with them as well at £134. A year which i think is a good price.

How do you contact Peter Taylor, his website is going to a page that says it’s suspended?
