hiya

i have just starting restoring my mini and have stripped it out completly inside and out and already repaired the rust around the windows. and i am now wondering. how the easiest way woudl b to install the repair panel for the inside of the boot. i am thinking about lowerin the subframe so it makes it easierline up and weld. or is there a easier way of doin it with less hassel.

please help thanks

sweet hope ur meets go well. was the flip front easy 2 fit?

i have decided agaist a flip font i dont really kno why lol.

will reduce my weight and gain power else where even tho its a 998 i think

not 2 sure cause i brought it and it says it as a auto and the transmission is a manual. and also my head is green and block is red need 2 measure the piston.

having fitted a fibreglass front id like to say im considering a steel clubman one for my next fitting and i'd make it out of genuine panels!!

i had to trim the glass one all over the place to make it fit!! the bugger is it fitted fine on the last car it was on! i just mounted it differently!! it had bonnet pins top and front! i went for bonnet pins at front and two dzus fasteners on each side to hold it all together!!

now its on its ok but steel would have been much easier!! when u bend steel it stays there!!!

EDIT: have u got a piccie of ur engine bay?? u can usually tell what size the engine is by the angle the thermostat housing sits at!! if its pointing towards the rad its a 998, if its pointing away from the rad its 1275 head if not complete 1275 lump!!
