Hi all,
Decided after many years to get the Mini back on the road. The car will not produce a spark. The coil is fine and I have confirmed it is producing a spark to the distributor. I’m think of pulling the distributor and fitting a new set of points and condenser - two questions...
1. Can I hustled in bolt the C clamp on that clamps the distributor to the block and withdraw it and then providing I do move the car reinsert it after fitting new points etc?
2. I’m not sure what sort of distributor I have. It is a Lucas one but doesn’t have a vacuum unit fitted and I can’t find a number on the body of the distributor. The cap has this part number Lucas 54427109.
Appreciate any help.
Regards,
Adrian
