I’ve fitted a CSI distributor to my 1985 Mayfair and got it running and it’s all good, the only issue I’ve got is that when I connect the Rev counter wire to the negative side of the coil it doesn’t work, I’ve emailed CSi and they have just emailed a copy of the Lucas wiring diagram for their range of Rev counters. So has anyone successfully got a CSI wiring up with a smiths RVC Rev counter and if so what did you do? It was working fine before with the powerspark electronic unit

Any help would be great

I know you have an RVC Tacho. These usually drive fine from the CSI however, some individual Tachos seem to play up with them.

You can try swapping out to another RVC Tacho or fit one of these (and yes, I know it says RVI to RVC conversion, but read it all and if need be, contact Chris at Spyida)
