Was having a poke around under the car last weekend, noticed the rubber inner bush on the tie bar rod is getting squashed quite a bit. I fitted minispares upgraded tie bars with the poly outer, rubber inner bushes some years ago, along with new cones and hi-los, adjustable bottom arms etc, had a guy from here (Dave - Ickle Mini) set it all up.

 

I assume their job is to compress but maybe they have lost their ability to compress and seem stuck?

 

Just seen they cost less than £5 for a kit so will probably replace them. Passed MOT few weeks back all ok.

You can buy a harder rubber bush as opposed to the standard rubber..

 

With my suspension repair / service / overhaul kits - I use the Polyurethane and hard rubber combination bushes for the lower tie bars
