Hey all,

Just started my mini after having changed the radiator for a fletcher 2 core and all the pipes and bits.

Heard a loud scraping noise from the fan and found out the blades (2 of 6) were touching the radiator shroud in the back (as seen on the image I linked).

Is there a way to "move" the shroud over? The fan seems off-center as there is a larger gap in the front than there.... in the rear.

Thanks for any help.
Cheers

Any adjustment available by slackening the rad bracket/thermostat housing nuts and pushing the rad towards the bulkhead? If not, elongate the top rad bracket holes and bottom rad bracket holes to allow adjustment.

ah makes sense. Was hoping there would be a better solution but I guess ill have to "force and tighten" into position. thanks!

Seems odd that changing the rad (not the shroud I presume )should alter it's relationship to the fan? Did you re-fit the fan offcentre somehow?

Is it just the rad that you've changed?

I had to make a new bracket for mine as the bracket I bought wasn't right, about 5mm off centre so would pull the shroud over.

Nah all I did was swap the radiator and pipes. Got the housing and bracket sandblasted and powdered so maybe that's why, but that means that it must have been extremely close before that! Powder coating only adds a mil at most so it must've been extremely snug. Anyways I did the "force and tighten" thing and will see how it holds up. Otherwise I'll lengthen the bracket slot and move it more :)
