Went to replace my accelerator cable (96 built SPI) and it wouldn’t pull away from the bulkhead.
Of course like an idiot i pulled it, hard and the cable came free but it looks like the end of the old cable is still there.
Is there a guide on the bulkhead for the cable to go into and through? It looks like it to me but it’s all in a very inaccessible place to see and get too (servo, master cylinder, clutch slave, breather and brake pipes all in the way)
I don’t know what I’m looking at but the hole is not clear for a new cable to go in so I assume I’ve got some “fun” ahead of myself to sort this out.
Any advice on how this can be sorted. If there is a guide for the cable to go in I assume it’s important and can’t be messed around with?

picture of what you have pulled out.
you may have pulled the receiver out of the bulkhead.

I hadn’t but have had too now because the receiver and end of the old cable had fused together. Now it’s all out I can see what it is.
Now turning a replacement receiver...the fun never ends with Mini’s eh ?
