Hello,

I have a 1967 mk1 and the wiper motor seems to be giving up the ghost, randomly switches off and sometime takes a few flicks of the switch to get it started.

I have seen a kit on 'tinternet to convert to a later type motor with 2 speeds and even self park (luxury!). I can only find this kit available in the states. Anyone got any idea if such a kit is availble in the uk?

Is it the motor or the switch ?

I've not seen the kits you've mentioned.

That's a good question, I haven't done too much investigation yet...

I already had a MK2 type motor and bought the 2 speed switch, bracket and pad in the UK but the problem comes with mounting the motor.  I contacted MiniMania in the US and they sold me just the necessary mounting plate.

Personally, I would have a look at the all the wiring, contacts and the switch itself, the old stuff is pretty bullet proof.

Not a thing that is used all the time, it may be old, but I bet it is not knackered yet
