Fitted a minispares evo001 cam and followers into the wife's 1330 about 1000 miles ago. Changing the gearbox so checked out the cam etc. Three of the followers are not rotating. Is this going to be a problem in the future?

While they are out send them to Keith Calver to have them refaced with the proper radius.

Also check the lifter bores for marks and that they rotate ok with a little light oil on them, sometimes they need a good clean, or even a very brief swipe with a brake hone if there's any marks

The Isky and ARP Followers are good. Made from the right material and have decent heat treatment, sensibly priced.

These cheap Mini Spares cam followers appear to have no radius whats so ever - I am starting to get quite peed off with some of the Mini Spares parts, not good quality at all :goaway:

USA.

https://www.iskycams.com/shop/  - though Mini Spares do / did have them

https://www.aptfast.com/  (sorry, I seem to have ARP on the brain - it's APT - David Vizard was founding partner in the business and had a hand in it for a very long time)

Are these the only ones worth buying now for any application?

Less than 1000 miles. Fitted new with the new followers and assembly lube.

Actually, it appears to me that the lobe has no taper ground on it and that would be why the followers aren't spinning.

from the silver swipe across the  two rh followers, and the grey outer patches at the edges,

cam lobes should ( in the A series) be ground at a slight angle ( sort of cone shaped) so one side presses against the outer side of the follower causing it to rotate as the cam turns. the followers should also be slighly domed so you get more contact between the follower and lobe, from memory I think the dome/radius of the followers should be 42".  the reason all thios is don is so that everything ios constanly movwing in relation to each other so you get no spot friction points and wear is even across the areas that contact ( not that they should contact cause they should be on an oil film)
