Hey all,

As title suggests, interior light is staying on when the door is shut. If the small push switch is pressed it does dim the light slightly but it doesn’t actually go off. Currently manually flicking the interior light which is fine but would prefer all to be working as should be.
This happens with both driver and passenger door in any combination.

Anyone had a similar problem to this?

(And no, the light isn’t in the “constantly on” position ;P)

Have you tried cleaning the contacts of both door switches?

Does the interior light go out when either switch has been has been released from the A post?

It's a very simple circuit +12v to the bulb on the purple wire. The other side is earthed, either by the switch in the on position or by the door switches. It's earthing somewhere else. Remove the door switches one at a time to try and isolate a faulty one, though it could be a fault at the lamp or broken insulation between it and the door switches. Pull the fuse first if you're going to remove the lamp they can be easily shorted in removal.
