It really is quite simple, just go for a decent brand, Alpine, Kenwood, Pionee, Fusion, Sony, JVC, Clarion, etc. and the more you spend, the better the head unit. Buy the best one that you can afford, but I wouldn't bother with more than £200 for a Mini, as the accoustic properties of a late '50s car aren't brilliant.

JVC KD741 - £79.99 on special offer in motorworld up here, decent head unit too. maybe ures is on offer? they retail other places at 139.99 - 159.99

wont the sound depend on your speaker system, how its setup etc? the headunit at end of day does same job weather its £100 or £1000

theres some kool ones in my local motor mania but they seem proper expensive! i am guna ge tone that player cd-r's! so i can make all my own stuff up! has any one got picys of there sound system?? im not to clued up on it all realy!

do what i do, type the name of the cd player into kazaa and add the word 'review' and voila there will most probably be a review or a score out of 10 for it, something helpful anyway

edit: not kazaa google, i need to lay down :D
